  1. 1.39

    कथं न ज्ञेयमस्माभिः पापादस्मान्निवर्तितुम्

    jñeyam — should be known

    how should we, who can see it, not turn away from this wrong?

  2. 13.1

    प्रकृतिं पुरुषं चैव क्षेत्रं क्षेत्रज्ञमेव च

    jñeyam — the goal of knowledge

    Nature and the person, the field and the knower of the field, knowledge and what is to be known — these I wish to understand, Krishna.

  3. 13.13

    ज्ञेयं यत्तत्प्रवक्ष्यामि यज्ज्ञात्वाऽमृतमश्नुते

    jñeyam — ought to be known

    I will tell you what is to be known, by knowing which one reaches the deathless: the beginningless highest Brahman, which is said to be neither existent nor non-existent.

  4. 13.17

    अविभक्तं च भूतेषु विभक्तमिव च स्थितम्

    jñeyam — to be known

    Undivided among beings, and yet standing as if divided; the sustainer of beings, and their devourer and their maker.

  5. 13.18

    ज्योतिषामपि तज्ज्योतिस्तमसः परमुच्यते

    jñeyam — the object of knowledge

    The light of lights, said to be beyond the dark; it is knowledge, what is to be known, and what knowledge reaches — seated in the heart of all.

  6. 13.19

    इति क्षेत्रं तथा ज्ञानं ज्ञेयं चोक्तं समासतः

    jñeyam — the object of knowledge

    So the field, and knowledge, and what is to be known, have been told in brief. My devotee, understanding this, comes to my own state.

    ज्ञानं ज्ञेयं परिज्ञाता त्रिविधा कर्मचोदना

    Knowledge, the object of knowledge and the knower are the three that prompt action; the instrument, the act and the doer are its three components.
