  1. 8.21

    अव्यक्तोऽक्षर इत्युक्तस्तमाहुः परमां गतिम्

    akṣharaḥ — imperishable

    That unmanifest and imperishable is called the highest destination. Having reached it, one does not return. It is my own abode.

    द्वाविमौ पुरुषौ लोके क्षरश्चाक्षर एव च

    akṣharaḥ — the imperishable

    There are two beings in this world: the perishable and the imperishable. All creatures are the perishable; the unchanging is called the imperishable.

    यस्मात्क्षरमतीतोऽहमक्षरादपि चोत्तमः

    akṣharāt — to the imperishable

    Because I am beyond the perishable and higher even than the imperishable, I am celebrated in the world and in the Vedas as the highest person.
