6.33 Arjuna does not see how Arjuna speaks
योऽयं योगस्त्वया प्रोक्तः साम्येन मधुसूदन
एतस्याहं न पश्यामि चञ्चलत्वात् स्थितिं स्थिराम्
yo ’yaṁ yogas tvayā proktaḥ sāmyena madhusūdana
etasyāhaṁ na paśhyāmi chañchalatvāt sthitiṁ sthirām
This yoga of evenness you have described, Krishna — I do not see how it can hold, because the mind is unsteady.
Explanation
And Arjuna says he does not see how.
This yoga of evenness — I do not see how it can hold, because the mind is unsteady.
He does not dispute the goal or the value. He objects on grounds of practicability, which is the most honest interruption in the book and gets the most honest answer.
