5.14 It is your own nature acting Krishna speaks

न कर्तृत्वं न कर्माणि लोकस्य सृजति प्रभुः
न कर्मफलसंयोगं स्वभावस्तु प्रवर्तते

na kartṛitvaṁ na karmāṇi lokasya sṛijati prabhuḥ
na karma-phala-saṅyogaṁ svabhāvas tu pravartate

The Lord creates neither doership nor actions for anyone, nor the joining of action to its fruit. It is one's own nature that acts.

Explanation

Nobody is being assigned this.

The Lord creates neither doership, nor actions, nor the link that ties an action to its fruit. It is svabhāva — one's own nature — that acts.

Which removes a comfort and a complaint at once. There is no external author of your doing to credit, and none to blame either.
