4.32 All of them arise from action Krishna speaks

एवं बहुविधा यज्ञा वितता ब्रह्मणो मुखे
कर्मजान्विद्धि तान्सर्वानेवं ज्ञात्वा विमोक्ष्यसे

evaṁ bahu-vidhā yajñā vitatā brahmaṇo mukhe
karma-jān viddhi tān sarvān evaṁ jñātvā vimokṣhyase

So many kinds of offering have been described. Know that all of them arise from action — and knowing this, you will be free.

Explanation

And what the whole catalogue was for.

So many kinds have been described — know that all of them arise from action.

That is the payoff. Having listed sacrifices from temple ritual to breath control, the chapter says every one of them is a species of karma, which is the answer to Arjuna's question in 3.1.
