2.25 Knowing this, do not grieve Krishna speaks
अव्यक्तोऽयमचिन्त्योऽयमविकार्योऽयमुच्यते
तस्मादेवं विदित्वैनं नानुशोचितुमर्हसि
avyakto ’yam achintyo ’yam avikāryo ’yam uchyate
tasmādevaṁ viditvainaṁ nānuśhochitum arhasi
It is called unmanifest, unthinkable, unalterable. Knowing this, you should not grieve.
Explanation
Knowing this, you should not grieve.
Unmanifest, unthinkable, unalterable — and then the conclusion drawn for the third time.
Note that acintya, unthinkable, sits in a list of things Arjuna is being asked to know. The same tension runs through 8.9 and 13.15.
