17.27 Steadiness is also Sat Krishna speaks

यज्ञे तपसि दाने च स्थितिः सदिति चोच्यते
कर्म चैव तदर्थीयं सदित्येवाभिधीयते

yajñe tapasi dāne cha sthitiḥ sad iti chochyate
karma chaiva tad-arthīyaṁ sad ity evābhidhīyate

Steadiness in offering, in austerity and in giving is also called Sat; and any action for the sake of that is called Sat.

Explanation

Steadiness is also called Sat.

Steadiness in offering, austerity and giving — and any action done for the sake of that.

So the word for what truly is gets applied to persistence. The chapter has been grading single acts; here it says the thing that makes them real is that they keep happening.
