15.13 In the earth and the sap Krishna speaks

गामाविश्य च भूतानि धारयाम्यहमोजसा
पुष्णामि चौषधीः सर्वाः सोमो भूत्वा रसात्मकः

gām āviśhya cha bhūtāni dhārayāmy aham ojasā
puṣhṇāmi chauṣhadhīḥ sarvāḥ somo bhūtvā rasātmakaḥ

Entering the earth, I support all beings by my strength; and becoming the moisture of taste, I nourish all plants.

Explanation

Then the claim comes down into the ground.

Entering the earth to hold beings up by sheer strength; becoming the moisture of taste — rasa, sap and flavour at once — to nourish what grows.

After eleven verses of cosmology the register drops entirely, and it keeps dropping for two more. Whatever the tree rooted in heaven is, the chapter insists it is also the wet in a plant.
