14.2 Not born, not troubled Krishna speaks
इदं ज्ञानमुपाश्रित्य मम साधर्म्यमागताः
सर्गेऽपि नोपजायन्ते प्रलये न व्यथन्ति च
idaṁ jñānam upāśhritya mama sādharmyam āgatāḥ
sarge ’pi nopajāyante pralaye na vyathanti cha
Having taken refuge in this knowledge and come to be of my own nature, they are not born at the creation and not troubled at the dissolution.
Explanation
Not born at the creation, not troubled at the dissolution.
Both ends of the cycle chapter 8 described in ages of Brahma, and this verse steps out of both of them.
The phrase for how is mama sādharmyam — come to be of my own nature. Not transported somewhere; having become the same kind of thing as what does not begin or end.
