13.7 And its changes Krishna speaks

इच्छा द्वेषः सुखं दुःखं सङ्घातश्चेतनाधृतिः
एतत्क्षेत्रं समासेन सविकारमुदाहृतम्

ichchhā dveṣhaḥ sukhaṁ duḥkhaṁ saṅghātaśh chetanā dhṛitiḥ
etat kṣhetraṁ samāsena sa-vikāram udāhṛitam

desire, aversion, pleasure, pain, the body as an aggregate, awareness, and steadiness — this, in brief, is the field with its changes.

Explanation

And then the changes, which include the feelings.

Desire, aversion, pleasure, pain, the body as an aggregate, awareness, steadiness.

Everything a person would ordinarily point to as themselves is on this side of the line — including awareness. The chapter's use of knower is stricter than any everyday word for the self.
